Was "Zander" asked any questions about his knowledge of: the history of Ukraine, the coups, killings, the many american diplomats or children of diplomats with financial ties to Ukranian Natural gas industry, the right wing neo Nazis, the biolabs, or anything? Why did he go there? Was it simply "Us good, Putin bad"?

Thanks for your reporting Michael.

Before anybody voices another opinion about Ukraine, please watch Oliver Stones movie Ukraine Burning, I just watched it on Rumble.

You can see why YouTube is hiding it...the United States government is tits deep in this whole thing, starring Joe Biden, George Soros, rogue NGOs, CIA, and a supporting cast of nauseating characters.

Here in Canada, our Deputy Prime Minister is Chrystia Freeland, the “proud” granddaughter of a high level Ukrainian Nazi, Michael Chomiak. He ran one of the largest newspapers in Ukraine calling for the mass slaughter of Jews.

This stuff is really just a continuation of Operation Gladio style Anglo-American intel activities. To quote from “Immune to Irony: Nazi Collaborators and Authoritarian Personalities Denounce Russia”:

“After having been established by the CIA, NATO and MI6 in 1956, Operation Gladio saw hundreds of terrorist cells deployed by former leaders of Nazi intelligence embedded across Europe who were used to kill civilians and troublesome politicians while stoking the fires of anarchy along the way. These acts of terror were in turn used to justify the excessive “emergency management” by oligarchically captured trans Atlantic nations throughout the Cold War based upon the logic that “the war against communism justifies everything… including fascism”.

While some say that the Gladio Operations were cancelled when the Soviet Union disintegrated, evidence points to a very different picture.

One particularly loud case is found in the figure of Andriy Parubiy, founder of the neo-Nazi Social-National Party of Ukraine who was appointed to serve as Secretary of the National Security and National Defense Committee (RNBOU) in the post-regime change putsch managed by Victoria Nuland and overseen by Joe Biden.

It is noteworthy that Parubiy, who has close ties to Freeland (herself the proud granddaughter of Hitler collaborator Michael Chomiak) cozied up to Justin in 2016 while seeking weapons, training and other logistical support from Canada. Meetings between Canadian politicians and leading neo-Nazi groups from Ukraine like the Azov Battalion continued to be so frequent that the Ottawa Citizen reported on November 9, 2021 that:

“Canadian officials who met with members of a Ukrainian battalion linked to neo-Nazis didn’t denounce the unit, but were instead concerned the media would expose details of the get-together, according to newly released documents. The Canadians met with and were briefed by leaders from the Azov Battalion in June 2018. The officers and diplomats did not object to the meeting and instead allowed themselves to be photographed with battalion officials despite previous warnings that the unit saw itself as pro-Nazi. The Azov Battalion then used those photos for its online propaganda, pointing out the Canadian delegation expressed “hopes for further fruitful co-operation.”

There’s a Reddit post circulating on Twitter supposedly from an eager volunteer who wants to be assured he won’t have to share a bathroom and can bring his pet turtle.

" it’s highly probable that there will be additional US casualties. Which could subsequently be cited as justification for wider US military involvement. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!"

Archduke Ferdinand was not worth a world war and neither is Zander. No offense intended to Zander - in fact I wish him good luck and a speedy recovery, but world wars seem to get a bit worse each time and the next one could be a real doozy.

Mr. Tracey, you are a very dedicated journalist, and when you apply your stubborn scepticism to situations you know something about, then your investigative determination and energy can help your readers access parts of a story that the conventional media narrative is too blinkered or lazy to explore. That is why I am a subscriber.

However, you are very much out of your depth here and, in this case, your biases are taking you away from understanding, rather than toward it. You are missing the forest (a despotic regime seeks to impose its will on another sovereign nation by starting a war) for the trees (adventure seeking young Americans go looking for trouble and find it).

It is certainly possible that the United States and its NATO allies will find themselves at war with Russia. One (desperately) hopes not, but the possibility cannot be entirely discounted. If war does come, however, it won't be because of some dark conspiracy and shady links to Ukrainian energy interests, but because Russia has now invaded Ukraine for the second time, and there is a very strong case for thinking that some of its other neighbours (e.g., Georgia, Moldova) may be on the list of places to go next.

A "no fly" zone is a high-risk step--just as Kennedy's establishment of a naval blockade around Cuba was high-risk. However, it may also provide a fire break, just as the Cuban blockade did. The blockade line forced Khrushchev to do some hard thinking about whether war or a deal was the best way forward for his nation. He halted his ships short of the line, and re-thought his objectives for the Cuban adventure (to Castro's fury). Kennedy added a carrot (the Turkish missiles) to the stick, and the world walked back from war.

Despite the risk, this may be the best path forward here. Zelensky has publicly announced that Ukraine is prepared to give up on joining NATO. There is the carrot; Putin's equivalent of the Turkish missiles (offered publicly this time, not in secret). It isn't unreasonable to consider if all that is missing is the stick of the "no fly" zone.

The hard truth is that if one side is prepared to risk war, and the other side isn't, the side that is prepared to accept the risk of war will always achieve its objectives. Having Vladimir Putin achieve his objectives in Europe and Asia would be a disastrous outcome for millions of people. At some point, the United States and the rest of NATO are going to have to accept a higher risk of war to stop him. Whether or not that point has arrived is a very difficult question to answer.

So far, in my view, your reporting on this situation is not helping your readers answer that question. I think your talents can better be deployed elsewhere, looking into conflicts and situations where your particular lens can bring some clarity to a situation that other media cannot help us see.
