In the ghetto school where I work, the students, all black, routinely ignore our new principal's rule to "make sure you wear your mask over your mouth and nose". The new principal, a small, fey, career bureaucrat from out of district, keeps reminding everyone about the importance of masks. To his credit, his head hasn't exploded. He doesn't push too hard, because we all know that would be racist.
He did offer us an Office365 link if we wanted to snitch on a student who wouldn't pull his mask up over his mouth or nose. I have no idea if any teacher has used it.

I think the tide is turning away from Covid mania as more and more people "out" themselves as anti-lockdown, anti-mandate, etc. Most people in highly liberal environments are still terrified to do so, myself included. I work an entry-level job in Hollywood, and I fear being ostracized from my co-workers, all of whom routinely ridicule anyone who says anything remotely anti-lockdown/anti-mandate or questions the President/CDC all that stuff.
I blame my own cowardice. I could, and I believe I should, say something, to save my own mental sanity. Constantly hiding my true self and self-censoring my true beliefs is exhausting. But again, you're seeing more and more people question the "official narrative" the MSM is force-feeding everyone, plus, tons of people are making careers and blowing up on social media, in a good way, by being contrarian (yourself included, Mr. Tracey) which I take as a sign of the changing tide.
Being against all of this Covid insanity is essentially mainstream, provided you don't live in LA or NYC. And even in those places I just have this underlying but unverifiable sense, that we've reached a point where people are just done.
For example, very few people at my gym, in the middle of LA, wear masks properly. Most have them on, but don't cover their nose or mouth. Many just don't wear one and even the staff have stopped calling people out on it.

In the last two weeks, we've had CNN anchors and major coastal newspapers admit things that would have had people like you banned from YouTube just two weeks ago. I'm pretty happy with how things are in Florida and I think I'm beginning to lean more towards being on the "crank" side believing that this thing might be more "airborne AIDS" with what it does to the immune system plus scared of how mutagenic it is.
But the masks have completely protected my large family these two years, one of whom works at a grocery store where hundreds of unique contacts are had in just one week.
If not for that, I'd be depressed.
